This series of pamphlets was written by direction of the Lord for the specific purpose of warning Israel and gathering the elect in these last days. The promised setting in order of His House has begun and it is His desire for this message to be published to His people who have ears to hear.
The truths which are presented in these pamphlets may be hard for some readers to accept, even though they are plain and forthright. However, we declare that they are the same truths which were taught by Joseph Smith, Jr., the Lords prophet and head of this last dispensation. They are truths which have been abandoned or lost to latter-day Israel.
The Prophet Joseph Smith said,
". . . if any man preach any other Gospel than that which I have preached, he shall be cursed." (TPJS, pg. 366)
President Brigham Young said,
"I told the people that if they would not believe the revelations that God had given, He would suffer the Devil to give revelations that they--priests and people--would follow after. . . . I told the people that as true as God lived, if they would not have truth, they would have error sent unto them and they would believe it." (Deseret News, 8 June 1878, italics added.)
For most of those who call themselves latter-day Israel, apostasy has once more set in, and again the saving principles and ordinances of the gospel have been changed to suit the conveniences and notions of the people. Doctrines have been corrupted, authority lost, and a false order of religion has taken the place of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ delivered to the Prophet Joseph Smith. This is just as it has been in former dispensations, and the people are left in spiritual darkness and a good many of them do not even realize it.
We ask, whom does God trust with His Priesthood? Does He trust those who forsake Him in tribulation and who change, alter, discard, and deny His revelations? How long does He allow Priesthood to continue with those who change ordinances, becloud the meaning of covenants, and reverse the standards of His laws? To what extent does He approve men who revile, condemn, and cast out those who are determined to keep all of His laws and commandments? These issues must be addressed.
It is a fact that truth is a pursuit too difficult for most men and women to accept, and the sacrificial demands of truth will almost extinguish their numbers. To accept the truth is to accept the fullness of the Gospel and that means to believe all that God reveals. Yes, that is what it means, to accept and live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Only the pure in heart--men and women of great faith--strive to keep all of Gods laws and ordinances.
Unfortunately, most people are afraid they will err and so make no attempt at judgment to find truth. However, the Lord has directed us to "Judge not unrighteously. . .but judge righteous judgment" (JST Matt. 7:2). He has told us how to make righteous judgment, to "...trust in that Spirit which leadeth. . ...to judge righteously; and this is my Spirit." (D&C 11:12)
As the Lord sets His House in order, once more He offers light to a darkened Israel. We testify that the Heavens are again opened. Please read this pamphlet with an open mind and a willing heart. If you have real intent, the Lord invites your prayers that He may respond to these truths by the witness of the Holy Ghost. Always remember, "And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye can know the truth of all things." (Moroni 10:5)
All praise, honor, and glory be to God, our Father and Creator, to Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, and to Joseph Smith, Jr., the Witness/Testator.
