Joseph's last dream

Joseph Smith's last dream is a real eye opener as it pertains to the apostasy that occurred after his departure. It is found on page 393 of Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, or on page 6:609 of the Documentary History of the Church.

Joseph related the following dream which he had last night [night of 26-27 June 1844]:

I was back in Kirtland, Ohio, and thought I would take a walk out by myself, and view my old farm, which I found grown up with weeds and brambles, and altogether bearing evidence of neglect and want of culture. I went into the barn, which I found without floor or doors, with the weather-boarding off, and was altogether in keeping with the farm.

While I viewed the desolation around me, and was contemplating how it might be recovered from the curse upon it, there came rushing into the barn a company of furious men, who commenced to pick a quarrel with me.

The leader of the party ordered me to leave the barn and farm, stating it was none of mine, and that I must give up all hope of ever possessing it.

I told him the farm was given me by the Church, and although I had not had any use of it for some time back, still I had not sold it, and according to righteous principles it belonged to me or the Church.

He then grew furious and began to rail upon me, and threaten me, and said it never did belong to me nor to the Church.

I then told him that I did not think it worth contending about, that I had no desire to live upon it in its present state, and if he thought he had a better right I would not quarrel with him about it but leave; but my assurance that I would not trouble him at present did not seem to satisfy him, as he seemed determined to quarrel with me, and threatened me with the destruction of my body.

While he was thus engaged, pouring out his bitter words upon me, a rabble rushed in and nearly filled the barn, drew out their knives, and began to quarrel among themselves for the premises, and for a moment forgot me, at which time I took the opportunity to walk out of the barn about up to my ankles in mud.

When I was a little distance from the barn, I heard them screeching and screaming in a very distressed manner, as it appeared they had engaged in a general fight with their knives. While they were thus engaged, the dream or vision ended.

Interpretation:

The barn is the LDS Church today, in modern times, which is delapidated and in complete neglect: meaning that the principles and truths it first enjoyed have been neglected and rejected. Joseph was contemplating on how to recover it from it's 'curse' when furious men (LDS leaders accompanied by evil spirits bent on the goal of forever derailing the establishment of Zion on the earth) came in and declared that they were the rightful possessors. Joseph mentions that the farm (temporal LDS church) was given to him by the 'Church', which we believe to be the Church of the Firstborn, which is the Eternal Church, headed by Adam, the 'First' man on every earth. Notice that Joseph said that he did not want to live in the LDS Church in its present state and that he had no use for it for 'quite some time now'.

While the leader was contending with Joseph and threatening him, a rabble rushed in and they began arguing over the premises. I believe that the rabble are the wicked nations of earth and hell including the New World Order, under the direction of Satan. Notice that the LDS Church has succumbed to and joined in with the mindset and riches of this telestial world , which are the kingdoms of Satan, thus making its bed with them. But notice that Satan never upholds his own in the end, and as Joseph steps out, they begin screeching as the wicked destroy eachother. Up to his ankles in mud is chaos imagery, meaning that the by-product of all of the false LDS works amounts to nothing that is cohesive, but is actually a mess to make eternal progressive steps in.

If the dream had continued, Joseph would have come upon the rightful tenants of the farm some distance off, in a poverished condition, having been cast out of the barn. He would have helped them build a barn suitable for the reaping of the harvest, because after all, the harvest is great but the laborers are few. These laborers were to go and gather any of the Elect who would listen and gather them to the new makeshift barn. There, they would become the leaven that would finally leaven the whole lump. They would then by the power of the Priesthood create enough of a Zion people that Christ could come and call His friends. The redemption the entire earth would then take place at the hands of this little remnant and the millennial day of peace would be ushered in.

Remember that the leader of wicked men is Satan, and it was Satan who told Christ that that this earth was his and that Christ was not the lawful posessor. Satan, for a brief moment in time, is the unlawful possessor of this earth because of his great influence over the children and nations of men. Notice that in Joseph's dream, the leader told Joseph that he also was not a rightful heir and that these things never did belong to him. This is the same Satanic rage that is directed at Christ. Just as the true God has power and priesthood strength, so also Satan has power and priesthoods. What we are locked into on this earth is a literal turf war over who is ultimately going to possess this earth. This is the age old struggle.

But we know who the victors will be: Christ and His friends who have earned the right to stand by Him in His army. That war is being waged right now and the truth of the matter is, that the LDS Church has now switched loyalties from the True God and Christ to service for Satan, he having promised them the praise and riches of the world. They bought it, hook, line and sinker. Yet they (LDS leaders and people) truly think they are building Zion. What a deception upon the LDS people! It is now time for the Elect to wake up and get in the right camp and fight this battle. We already know who is going to win, it's just a matter of what side we are standing on. This is what we covenanted to do before coming to this earth. Our assignment was to wake up at a certain time in the last days and help Joseph and Christ kick Satan and his followers off of this planet and return it to Christ, the rightful heir. This is the ageless battle proceeding forward and is also occuring on many earths like this one. Many of the righteous players are on the field at this time and we must see the clarity of it. The Elect of God must wake up and answer the call. May the Lord bless us to get suited up for this fight, the good fight.
