11. How many members does the TLC have, and what is their religious background?

As of June, 1998, there are approximately 300 members, the majority of which live in the Sanpete Valley in Utah, USA. The typical response to that relatively small figure is "Why would God only work with a small group of people as opposed to the ten million or so members of the LDS church? "We ask in return, "When has God ever saved a majority?" Consider the following examples:

How many people went on the Ark with Noah?
(Genesis 7:7)

How many people left with Lehi from Jerusalem?
(1 Nephi 1:Chapter heading.)

How many people followed Alma into the wilderness? (Mosiah 18:35)

And there are many other examples of God working with a remnant.

Our members come from various religious backgrounds, but by and large they were once members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have some who come from different "fundamentalist" groups, and some who come from mainstream Christianity. We also have some members with little or no Christian background.
