Cick here
for my wife's testimony
All
of my life I have been driven by an innate desire to know truth,
that there had to be more than just what I saw around me. That
there had to be something greater.
I was born into the LDS world. I grew up a Mormon. I was taught in all the doctrine, culture, ideals and expectations that are in the Mormon world. And I grew up truly believing that all that I had been taught was, without a doubt, absolutely true. After all, it is what my parents taught me, what my society taught me, what my teachers at school taught me. Why shouldn't I believe what they said.
I was dyed blue through and through with all the traditions of a good LDS boy. I went on a mission to Portugal. I paid more than a full tithe. I went to the temple three times a month. I never missed church on Sunday. And I truly and honestly believed that my knowledge of the gospel gave me an unfair advantage on the entire world. To say I was self righteous would be to put it lightly.
I joined the military, went through hell and got out. And because I saw how evil and wicked men can be. I decided that I needed to get serious about my own repentance. I met a friend who introduced me to the fullness of the gospel. From then on it was an adventure in studying everything I could get my hands on about the early days of the the LDS church. I started to check out other fundamentalist groups to no avail. And then I heard about Jim Harmston's little group in Manti. I went to his two day class called the models and I knew that I had found the truth that I had been searching for for so long. I remember laying in bed one morning after attending the models and I heard a voice in my head say, "move to Manti;" it was accompanied by a profound witness of the Holy Ghost. So we moved.
I have been a member of the True and Living Church of Jesus Christ of Saints of the Last Days for four years now. I had never been able to overcome any weaknesses until I came into this church.
As a member of this church I have gained a tremendous knowledge of the fullness of the gospel. The more I learn, the more I know that I don't know.
There is no other church or people on the face of this earth that has fulfilled and is fulfilling more prophecy than this people. Joseph Smith established a foundation for the establishment of Zion. I testify that we are now finishing the foundation that he started, preparing the saints to see the face of God and to establish Zion.
"So it is with the Prophet Joseph Smith. He has gone before with the keys of this dispensation, after having lived and conferred them upon the authorities of the church, even all that was necessary until he shall come again to build up this kingdom preparatory to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ." (Franklin D. Richards, Journal of Discourses 26:302.)
"My Servant Joseph (Smith) still holds the keys of my kingdom in this dispensation, and he shall stand in due time on the earth, in the flesh, and fulfill that to which he is appointed." (Jesus Christ, Autobiography of Parley P. Pratt, July 7 or 8, 1844, pp 368-371.)
I have never been tried and tested in all my traditions and my sins as I am continually in this work. We, as a people are required to purify ourselves. The purpose of the LDS church was to establish Zion. I testify that they have failed in their mission and purpose, that they have instead gone whoring after the world and they are speedily traveling in the opposite direction. How can they establish Zion when they have forsaken all the doctrines and ordinances that would establish her?
There are many prophecies that we as a people are fulfilling. We are establishing Zion, even the kingdom of God here on the earth. We do believe in and live ALL of the doctrines, ordinances, precepts and the laws of heaven here on earth that Joseph Smith jr. established while he was here on the earth. Including plural marriage, consecration, adoption, gathering, obedience, chastity, multiple mortal probations, eternal progression and eternal exaltation, and the patriarchal order of the Gods here on earth, even the true patriarchal order of the family of God here on earth. It is a part of our calling to expose a corrupted family order as part of the foundation of the kingdom of Satan. We are the remnant of Israel that has come forth in these (last days) to do the work of God.
"Wickedness and apostasy will increase throughout the world and also among many of those called Latter-day Saints. But it has been prophesied that a people 'from the midst of this people' would be separated and would continue faithful until the ushering in of the Millennium. This special people will carry the great responsibility of living the Gospel in its fullness until the second coming of Christ." (Prophecies of the Latter Days , Chapter 11, "A Special People," by Ogden Kraut)
"Before the great day of the Lord shall come, and the day of righteousness and peace dawn upon this fair creation, two potent cleansing processes shall be in active operation. The first of these is a preparation of a choice people, purified by an application to their lives, as individuals and a community, of the principles of the gospel of peace. Such a body will evolve from those called Latter-day Saints, who as a Church possess the fullness and power of the pure plan of salvation. Out of this community at present in the merely incipient stages of development and from the remnant of the whole house of Israel, will emanate the nucleus or foundation from which will spring the righteous millennial population of our globe." (George Q. Cannon, Millennial Star, 42:585)
I testify that we are those people.
It s part of our mission and purpose to reclaim this earth from its unlawful possessor, Satan. And to gathering the house of Israel and to set that house in order and to establish Zion once again in preparation for the millennial reign of our master Jesus Christ so that this earth will not have to be wasted at his coming.
I know by the witness of heaven and do so testify that this is God's work, that these are his people Israel, even the remnant. That many of us have actually seen Christ, that he walks among us. That we are here to do his work in these last days.
I do so testify in his name, even Son Ahman, Jesus Christ, Amen.
