Reflections on Isaiah

Hark, all ye nations, give ear to the cry
The Servant of David is sent from on High!

Saints of God, rejoice in the word
The voice of your Savior is once again heard.

The King over Israel has taken his place,
Preparing the Lord's people to behold their God's face

The scepter of power in His person doth rest:
The power to witness, to judge, and to test.

A teacher He'll be unto the people of God
To make plain the path which their Father hath trod.

Elias among us, to prepare the way
That Earth may become as the beautiful day.

A remnant to gather from among all the nations
To prepare the Earth for her regeneration.

When all shall become as was at the first;
That the hearts of the righteous may no longer thirst

Yea, bare is the arm which no hand can stay
Setting in order God's house as the scriptures doth say.

For the hand of the Lord must needs be revealed;
That all may be finished that has not been sealed.

To pour out a judgment, in mercy suspended,
And finish a labor long overextended.

In the first dispensation They came from afar
Trailing clouds of glory from their home on a star.
From the royal mansion on high was the Fall
To organize a world, a home for us all.

Adam, our Father, High Priest of our race,
Prepared for His children a beautiful place.
Glorious the beauty He crafted called Earth,
The place for His children's physical birth.

The Eternal Priesthood our Father doth bear
Which commandeth the earth, the water, and air.
Creations unnumbered, worlds without end,
Yet in His own image created He men.

And while on the Earth the Father did make
Tabernacles of flesh for His children to take;
That they, like He, might someday be whole
With body and spirit, a quickening soul.

Michael, our Father, the Ancient of Days
Will teach us in Zion to walk in His ways.
Faith He will teach us, the strength to endure
That we may be holy, and humble, and pure.

We will love one another, that we may be one
To worship the Father in the name of the Son;
That at the end of this mortal probation
We may be found worthy to receive exaltation.

"Oh Father Eternal, Father Divine
Sacred and holy is thy Grand Design;
That teacheth all men what they can be
When they but turn their hearts unto thee."
