Randolph Edwin Maudsley was born on November 7, 1950 at Long Beach, Los Angeles, California. Randy's father followed construction jobs around the western United States and occasionally took off from his occupation to try his hand at his first love - farming. Randy has lived in several of the western states as he was growing up, but he lived in Utah most of his youth. He attended seventeen different schools and lived in over thirty five different homes, between ages five through eighteen - some more than once!
His father died when Randy was fourteen, leaving he, his mother, and sister on their own. They had returned to his father's home of St. George, Utah the year before, where his father desired to spend his last days. Randy graduated from Dixie High School (by the skin of his teeth), where he had also been kicked out of Seminary his senior year for correcting the instructor, and being right! He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1969, but managed to enlist in the U.S. Navy prior to his having to report for duty with the Army.
Randy was an Aircrew-member and worked in anti-submarine warfare. He's flown in several different aircraft, but primarily the S-2G, and served in several different squadrons aboard different aircraft carriers. He also served for a year or so with the Navy's Discipline Investigators Office out of San Diego. He has seen much of this world and its people. After his tour of duty in the Navy, he returned home to St. George and attended Dixie College while he pursued an occupation of salesman. He has worked at many different occupations, wide and varied; from sign painter and artist to oil field worker, truck driver to sheet metal man, carpet layer, pipe fitter to a control-board operator in a 500 MW power plant. He also served as a prisoner escort for a county sheriff as well as attended San Juan College.
As for his talents and abilities, they are quite extensive. It often surprises people what he can do and what he can accomplish, especially if he knows that it is the will of God. Randy used to play the guitar and sing, he also used to paint and draw pictures, but has not pursued these talents for many years.
Randy was excommunicated from the LDS Church for his great love of the truth which Joseph Smith restored. He refused to be compelled into submission to an apostate priesthood which no longer upholds or teaches the doctrines and principles taught by Joseph Smith, but who have strayed from the laws, changed the ordinances and put at naught the everlasting covenant.
As to Randy's character, many of his friends would say that he IS a character! We believe him to be a man of integrity, courage and compassion. In a world that teaches compromise and "don't make waves" , he stands among a select few who dare to stand up and declare their love of Christ and His Gospel. He is committed to doing the will of his Father in Heaven no matter the personal cost.
Randy, having received of the Lord a personal revelation that Jim Harmston had been ordained to the Apostleship by the four angels, was told of the Lord that he also was called to the apostleship and that he must receive that ordination from Jim Harmston. High on a mountain top, in a white teepee, Jim Harmston inquired of the Lord as to who He has called as His apostles for this day. Jim was told of the Lord that Randy was to be one of these, thereby establishing Randy's calling by the mouth of two witnesses. Jim Harmston ordained Randy as an apostle of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, before an altar of God in that same teepee, on the 14th of August 1994, and the heavens did respond with lightnings and thunder.
Randy has since served several missions and in administering the Endowment. He is at present serving as First Counselor to President Daniel Simmons, of the First Presidency of The True and Living Church of Jesus Christ of Saints of the Last Days.
"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
(JST Hebrews 11:1.)
In the name of Jesus Christ, I now testify and witness before the world that Jesus is the Christ, the Lord, Savior and Redeemer, even Messiah. I testify to all Israel in a scattered and fallen state, that at a time near at hand Jesus Christ will return to a people prepared to receive their Priest and King; a people who have built up God's kingdom here upon this earth; a covenant people; His people, even His elect. I warn errant Israel of their rebellion against their God; that their leaders have led them astray from the law, changed every ordinance and have broken the New and Everlasting Covenant as restored into this dispensation by the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jun.; that they as a church and a people are under the condemnation of the Lord God of Israel and that they will feel of His wrath at a time soon at hand, even the Desolation of Abomination upon the wicked of the world; that upon His house shall judgment begin and from His house shall it go forth upon the face of this, the Promised Land, until it is utterly swept clean of all unrighteousness; that the land Zion will be redeemed and this earth reclaimed for the Lord Jesus Christ.
I testify and witness to all Israel, that again the Lord Jesus Christ has set His hand, a second time, to gather His elect from the four quarters of the earth, in unto one place upon this the Western Continent; that He has sent His Servant again into His vineyard to gather the strength of His house, even the remnant; that the land Zion might be redeemed with power; that they might break down the walls of the enemy and scatter his servants; that those who are not apostles and prophets shall be known and their abominations shouted from the roof tops and Jesus say, "Ye never knew me; depart from me ye that work iniquity."; that that wicked one be revealed and fall by a vivid shaft of light, even he who has set forth his hand to steady the ark of God.
I prophesy that the City of Manti is to become a City of Zion and that the Lord Jesus Christ will come to His temple and to a people who have put spiritual things to the forefront, a righteous remnant; a people who shall eat the good of the land and enjoy the presence of God the Father and Jesus Christ His Son, the mediator of the New and Everlasting Covenent; that from this corner stake of Zion shall the Lord's people return again unto Jackson County and there walk the streets of Zion, even the New Jerusalem; and as Saviors on Mt. Zion, rule and reign with the Lord Jesus Christ and stand in judgment of the twelve tribes of Israel; that this same people will witness their Lord, Savior and Redeemer receive His kingdom from His Father, the Ancient of Days, even Adam, the Father and God of All Living, at Adam-Ondi-Ahman.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I proclaim the day of the Gentile at an end. I now warn the people of the world to repent and to acknowledge Jesus as the Christ. I extend a call to the elect of Israel, to repent and come forth and gather themselves with God's people here in the Sanpete Valley, to prepare themselves against that which is soon to come upon the world, even Babylon the Great, which shall fall; to help build up the kingdom of God and to establish Zion.
I bear witness that we have the keys to the kingdom of God on earth and all the rights appertaining to them and to the administering of the ordinances of salvation and exaltation to men on earth.I bear witness and testimony that He lives, even Jesus Christ, for I have seen Him; that as He lives, so might we, that we can have eternal life and with Him overcome all enemies, even death; if we will but repent and keep His commandments; and with Him inherit this earth in it's paradisical glory. I do so solemnly witness and testify in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, whose Apostle I am. Amen.
